Uniform and Rank Structure
The word “discipline” conjures up all sorts of things. Discipline, along with Drill, is a major part of the ATC. We must make it clear that Drill is NOT used as a punishment. All cadets are taught in a suitable way, and we help anyone that is having difficulty. In the ATC we have a rank structure very similar to the RAF. There are 4 cadet ranks that can be achieved by an individual. Promotion is appointed by the Commanding officer of the squadron, this is excluding Cadet Warrant Officer which is apappointed by the Wing Commander of South & West Yorkshire Wing. There are also verious staff Comminssioned and none Commissioned ranks. Cadet NCO Ranks
