On Sunday the 11th November, the squadron attended the remembrance parade in Castleford. The parade had representatives from the Air Training Corps, Army Cadet Force, the Sea Cadets Guide/Scout association and the Royal Air Force Association (RAFA) as well as many others. The parade set off from the Royal British Legion after a short cermony during which the last post was played by a member of the local Slavition Army band also reefs were laid by the many organisations including one laid by Cadet Warrent Officer Simon Hinchcliffe on behalf of the Squadron. After the cermony the parade marched through Castleford to the local All Saint’s church, where a service was held in memory of all the British service men and women that have fought and died in wars past and present. After the church ceremony, the parade formed back up once again outside the church and marched back to the Royal British Legion. The Cadets where kindly provided with lunch after the parade by the Royal Air Force Association (RAFA).
Many people commented on the turnout and the high uniform standard of the cadets from 2388 Squadron. A big well done goes out to all the cadets who turned up and participated in the parade.
