Squadron Camp - RAF Church Fenton

On the 26th - 30th July cadets from 2388 sqn attended a squadron run camp at RAF Church Fenton. During there 5 days the cadets participated in many activities, these included, a visit to Elvington aviation museum, where they got the chance to view different aircrafts. opportunity of an air experience flight in a grob tutor with some of the cadets been given the chance to perform aerobatics in the aircraft. The sqn also visited the Manchester Tattoo watching many military themed events including a display from the Queens Colour Squadron and the RAF Central band. There was also a day trip to Flamingo land which was thoroughly enjoyed by the cadets. Alsparticipated in a dry weapons training and a night navigation exercise. The cadets also visited a local swiming baths with all cadets gain there swiming profiancy. There was an inter-flight competition run through the camp with points been award for activities such as the 5-a-side football competition and drill display.

All the cadets who attended expressed how much they enjoyed the camp, with many learning new skills such as leader ship skills, self-discipline and uniform maintenance.
