Wing Football Tournament
On the 29th January 2006 the annual Inter Squadron football competition was held. This is where all squadrons in South and West Yorkshire wing are given the chance to enter a team, who then compete against each other in a knock out tournament 2388 (Castleford) Sqn football team made it all the way to the semi-finals. First of all by beating 59 (Huddersfield) Sqn 5-4 on penalties after the match ended at 2-2. Then finally they were knocked out of the competition by 218 (Rotherham) Sqn after the match once again ended in a draw at 1-1, but this time the shootout ended 2-1.
Although being knocked out was a great disappointment, all the cadets had a good time and thoroughly enjoyed the day.
The squad would also like to take this opportunity to thank the loyal band of cadets that turned up to support and to cheer on the team during the event.
